Nutella fudge and burnt home appliances

Long story short - few days ago I burnt down my food blender (and today i did the same with blow dryer) and that was a huge loss as I use it a lot when baking/cooking.

However something good came out of this loss and I'm talking about these lovely Nutella fudge balls (you can call them truffles), because only thing you need beside Nutella and condensed milk is a saucepan. Sooooo easy to make and you can store them for such a long time.

Another plus - from following ingredients you can make lot of balls (at least 20), perfect for home parties etc.

I realized that my condensed milk is going to expire soon, so that would be a big waste if I would throw it away (also, that's my favorite one and a store where I bought it isn't that close). I don't know about you but condensed milk was my childhood treat, I used to sneak in the kitchen to eat it with spoons, also remember that my grandma used to serve pancakes and waffles with it. We used it lot in many recipes.

Basically you can make any flavor you like by substituting Nutella with anything you like.

If you decide to go for these Nutella fudge balls you will need:

1 can condensed milk

1/2 cup Nutella

1 tsp butter or Coconut oil (room temperature)

Crushed hazelnuts for coating

Place all ingredients in a saucepan and on a medium heat bring them to boil. Most important thing - stir the mixture all the time, otherwise you will burn it. When the mixture comes to boil, reduce the heat to minimum and stir it approx. for 10-15 minutes. The fudge is ready when it easily comes off from the saucepan. Let it cool down and place it in a fridge for an hour.

Then oil your hands with coconut or any other oil and roll out balls. Coat them in crushed hazelnuts or cocoa powder.

I also rolled out the fudge and cut it in smaller squares, but I have to say I prefer balls, because once they are coated they become less sticky and it's easier to serve them.

As I'm a huge fan of condensed milk (and Nutella of course) I absolutely loved the combined flavor of both ingredients. If you want to have more Nutella flavour, just add more Nutella when boiling the mixture.

You can store the fudge in a freezer up to 2 months and roll out balls whenever you want to.

Enjoy!
