I am not a professional cook, nor a photographer but I like to capture a moment, so I guess I am somewhere between these two.
Not so long ago I realised that my personal IG account has been filled with lots of food pictures and it’s been a real struggle what to caption underneath every post – should I go for a long story why I created it or what’s behind it, or should I post ingredients and recipes. Maybe loads of hashtags will look nicely? None!
Everything I am going to write about here will be my lifestyle related stuff based on my kitchen creations. I am willing to capture all that food – photo – story thing in a nice overview for you and myself.
I don’t want this to become as an detailed autobiography, however you will find some details eventually, but for now I would like to share some of my guidelines:
I use my own recipes but I also implement other ideas (have loads of saved posts, pictures and written down recipes), however non of my stuff is a copy – paste.
I prefer to cook healthy, but I’m not gonna deny that I use whatever I like to, so you will find all natural, gluten-free recipes but let’s be honest, I also use flour, sugar, oil and etc., if it’s needed.
Keep it simple – I love to stick to basic and easy to cook recipes, some of them contains only 3 ingredients, so I don’t have to spend that much time in a kitchen, but I also might spend whole day in there to come up with something worth it.
Mostly I use what is hidden in the kitchen cupboards, but if there is something in my mind then I am willing to spend a lot of my spare time searching for it.
I love to create something, but the capture is important as well. That tasty snack, bite or whatever has to match to a perfect picture.
Acceptance of failure. Not everything always comes out great and sometimes that drives me insane! Although I always give a second chance to the food.
Other stuff. Yes, I do other things as well.
However these are not rules that I follow. It’s something that I have noticed after realising that I post everything together. You will find my travels, food, friends and animals all together in one feed, so I believe it’s worth to give all these food photos a personal space.
