My peanut mocha story

I have to admit that I'm a real coffee addict. I love it hot, strong and without a sugar. I can drink it a lot and that will not affect my sleeping or energy levels.

Chocolate is another thing I love. As many of you do.

Also I do enjoy smoothies, shakes, chocolaty drinks and so on. And here is a challenge I face quite often - to find a healthy option. However, I managed to create a one (except the topping, I just wanted something extra with it).

Let me introduce you with a Peanut butter mocha!

If you're not a coffee lover don't worry, you can still enjoy this drink, just skip 1/4 cup coffee and that's it. With the ingredients below you can make approx. 2 smaller cups of mocha or 1 extra large. Before I had my first mocha drink years ago, I thought that mocha is something made of alcohol (moka - alcoholic liqueur).

To make peanut butter mocha you will need:

2 frozen bananas

1 cup almond milk (you can make your own, I used barista almond milk)

1/4 cup rolled oats

1 and 1/2 tbsp cacao powder

2 tbsp peanut butter (as always I used @wholearthfoods)

1/4 cup instant coffee

Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until it's smooth. The mixture should be creamy, however you can add some extra milk if you want.

If desired, make a topping of melted peanut butter, melted favourite chocolate, chocolate chips and chopped peanuts.

For more silky texture soak oats in a hot water for 10 minutes. Also you can choose any milk of your choice, I used baristas because I was just curious what the taste is like and I didn't regret that.

Enjoy!
