Granola bars

My first home made Granola bars are here and I have to say that this is one of my most easiest recipes to make. Just make sure you have good quality oats and your favorite nuts and fruits!

I know I have said so many times that I'm not a fan of oats, but they still come up on my recipes, so now I can truly say that I'm adding oats to my "didn't love at the beginning" list.

Basically Granola bars are one of those things that you can customize very easily by removing and adding your favorite products. I used what I had at the moment and that worked really well.

I added some extra peanut butter for taste, because I love the flavor that it gives to the granola, but that's optional. You can swipe honey for maple syrup or have it less if you want it.

I made one huge granola on my baking tray and divided it in two parts. Part one I cut in granola bars that I covered with chocolate. The other part I cut in squares and didn't add any topping. Approx. made 12 bars.

If you want to make exactly same granola I did you will need:

200 grams high quality oats

2 ripe bananas

50 grams almonds

40 grans peanuts

2 tbsp dried raisins

2 tbsp dried cranberries

4 tbsp coconut oil (melted)

3 tbsp honey

2 tbsp peanut butter

100 grams chocolate of any choice for decorating.

Preheat oven to 160 degrees. Firstly chop nuts. Then in a large bowl mash bananas, add chopped nuts and rest of the ingredients.

Cover baking tray with non-stick baking paper and grease it with coconut oil.

Spread the granola mix on try depending how thick and big you want it to be.

I used chopping board and knife to make the shape I want and to even it out.

Bake it 20-25 minuted until golden brown. Let it cool completely,

cover with chocolate (optional) and cut in

desired pieces.

As I mentioned before you can customize your granola by adding nuts and fruits you love.

Enjoy!
