Chocolate & banana baked oats

It was enough for me to try baked oats once and few more times to figure out proportions I like the most, since then I've been making them every weekend and I'm not kidding.

There are hundreds of different versions available, also you can swap ingredients and play around with amounts of products you're adding. However, if you want to stick to this recipe then I can assure that it's under 300 kcal for entire serving!

I prefer to use @myprotein vanilla flavour drops, but just a little bit, because chocolate and banana will give some sweetness too, but you can use sweeteners you prefer like vanilla flavour, honey, maple syrup, stevia, etc. Or instead of sweeteners, you can add some nice toppings like chocolate, syrup or anything else you fancy.

To make 1 serving of chocolate & banana oats you will need:

Dry ingredients:

30 grams oat flour (or just blend oats)

1 tsp baking powder

5 grams cocoa powder

Wet ingredients:

Few drops of MyProtein vanilla flavour drops (or any sweetener of your choice)

1 egg

60 grams Greek yoghurt (or plain yoghurt)

Splash of milk (optional, I use almond milk)

1/2 banana

15 grams chocolate (I used Wholesale Terry's Chocolate Orange)

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Cut banana & chocolate into smaller pieces. Mix together dry ingredients. Then in a separate bowl mix together egg, yoghurt and sweetener, add dry ingredients and stir well to avoid lumps. Add a splash of milk (optional). Mix in banana and chocolate and pour the mixture into a heatproof tray.

For more gooey texture bake for 15 minutes. If you want your oats to be more spongy (cakey) then bake them for 15-20 minutes.

Or you can just blend all ingredients (except banana and chocolate) in food processor.

As I mentioned before, you can also add some toppings. I normally don't add any as the oats are already quite filling, except, sometimes I like to add just a tiny splash of almond milk to make them even more gooey.

Enjoy!
